There used to be LA Rio direct, not anymore.
AA and United should be the cheapest, SF > Mia > Rio or SP.
Or SF > Atlanta > Rio with Delta.
But bear in mind the flights are expensive. |

I would try www.ytbtravel.com/gordonsa they seem to have cheap rates for tickets. I never been to Rio. But I use them for trips to Hawaii and England all the time and they seem to always come out cheaper
