other boroughs ("bairros" in portuguese) include ipanema, barra, botafogo, urca, sao conrado, ect.
it is in the south region (Zona Sul) of rio.

Copacabana in the original Tupy language means "good wather for swimming" as Ipanema means "good water for fishing".
