Where to go for Rainforest vacation? |
I would like to take my two year old on vacation to see the rainforest, but I am not exactly sure where the best places are to go?
I want her to experience this kind of beauty and not some place like Disneyland. |

One of the most amazing trips I ever went on was to the rainforest in the Amazon. We flew to Manaus and then took a boat up the river a couple of hours, so we were truly out in the middle of no where. But there is a great resort, sometimes called the Tree House resort, Ariau. http://www.ariauamazontowers.com/
There are literally monkeys roaming the resort and from your room you can see them climbing the trees in the forest, as well as see tons of exotic birds, and flowers. And there are great tours all included in the package, including a rain forest nature walk, a swim in the Amazon, a caiman hunt, and other great tours. I'd give it a way big thumbs up. One of the most amazing trips there is. Good luck and have a great trip! |

Keep in mind that Rainforest and Amazon forest and very distinct ecosystems.
Go to Rio if you want Rainforest and if you are not into big cities (Rio has the largests in city forest in the world, in the middle of the city - Floresta da Tijuca) or if you are affraid to go to Rio - I was born there and sometimes I am - there are a lot of small places close to Rio: Buzios (www.buziosonline.com), Angra dos Reis, Ilha Grande, Itaipava, Petropolis, Teresopolis and lots more. All that at 2 hours drive from Rio international...
and those cities have a very good hotel structure.
They can also provide transfers from Rio international.

A two year old my not remember a place like the rainforest. You can check out cruises that have amazing kid programs and these ships to go to the rainforests and jungels. You'd just have to look and find what best for you. |
