I live in Recife, capital of Pernambuco (northeast region) and I love it.
It's warm, it's not too big, not too small either, there are beautiful beaches all around it, and people are very friendly.
The food is great, it has unique cultural manifestations and a lot of public shows and festivities.
On the other hand, there's a lot of poverty and not many job opportunities.
But it's my city and I love it.

I have lived in Rio, Brasilia, Curitiba and Belo Horizonte, and my favorite is Belo Horizonte. If I was going back to Brazil, that's where I would live.

In the regions South and West, where it has many chances of work and it does not have as much violence how much in Rio De Janeiro and São Paulo. Since that I came to live in Brazil, I liveed in the South and the West.

Ipanema - which is a suburb of Rio. It is between Leblon and Copacabana. Ipanema is right on the beach. It is like New York - very urban and chic. You dont need a car and there is plenty to do. You can walk everywhere and take a taxi if you need to go far. Lots of good food and you are right in the middle of everything..!
