there isn`t an emperor because nowadays brazil is a republic with a president.actually we are a republic since1889.in1822 we got our independence from portugal and then started the monarchist time.we had in fact two emperors:Dom Pedro I and his son Dom Pedro II.but in 1889 the monarchist time ended because we became a republic in this year.but there are descents of the real family living in brazil and france nowadays ,but of course they don`t govern anymore.

There's no president in Brazil since 1889.
The last emperor was D. Pedro II. His daughter, Princess Isabel, would stay in the throne after him, but fortunately the republic was established thanks to Marshal Deodoro da Fonseca in November, 15th of 1889 being, then, the first president of the Brazil.
After this, there was the called Old Republic until 1929 with the president Washington LuĂs.

But if I was to tell you all the history, I would pass hours here. I just want to tell you that after this there was dictatorship and the Republic came back years later.

Today the name of Brazil is: República Federativa do Brasil. Or in English: Federative Republic of the Brazil. Its president is Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (or Lula only).

But there are relatives of the Royal Family in Brazil, mainly in Rio de Janeiro. There was an election here some years ago to the population choose if the Brazil would must continuing a Republic or becoming a Monarchy again. The answer was: Republic.

Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva ( we call him Lula ) is our PRESIDENT, not Emperor, he was elected in 2002 and began his mandate in 2003 and was reelected in 2006.

There is no Emperor since the year of 1889. The royal family don't have power anymore, although they live in Brazil and are receives an amount of money every month by the Federal Government.

The government by now is a Presidencialist Republic, and Brazil has presidents just like America. The current president is Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (nickname "Lula" or "Lula da Silva"). The next presidential elections will be in October 2010.

Unhappily Brazil is a republic since 1889, now the Brazilian royal family lives divided in three cities PetrĂłpolis, Paraty and Vassouras, Dom Pedro Henrique, Dom Luis' oldest son, would be the successor of right of the Brazilian throne.

But when I can I go to Paraty only to see the prince Little Pedro de Orleans e Bragança, he is wonderful.

yes, I understand your question and emperor of brazil is satan and lula is just a puppet in devil´s hand.
misery, poverty ,diseases, violence , urban caos, army in the streets of rio de janeiro, corrupted polititians , slums all over the country and children prostitution.
Just check it out in the newspapers if you don't believe it
