I am married to a Brazilian and I can tell you that they do seem to take great pride in their appearance. It's just a cultural thing. I don't think it is about being arrogant, rather they put a lot of importance on being physically attractive, whereas we in America tend to put great importance on money.

umm i dont know but black woman in brazil and white woman in brazil are bothe brazilian its probably because most womanand men are inthe middle that you say this.its not like the white ones are european and the black ones are african!then there would be no brazil! or latin america it would be blacks whites and mestizos which is NOT the case!
