Have a cold weather (for Brazilian standards)...expect 15C. to 25C. in summer and 5C. to 15C. in winter...frost is common in winter...I already got below freezing sometimes, and -6C. once!!!

Its very nice, cold in the winter, high in the hills, fine hotels and dinning.
Aprox 2:30hs from São Paulo, nice roads to get there.
In Rio the equivalent would be Itaipava.

Yeah...I know the city. I remember going there when I was younger. Very pretty, if I remember correctly cold, too. Definitely a nice place to go visit if you ever get a chance. I know lots of people go there for honeymoons and such if they can't go too far.
