"Adult" fun in Brazil?

For a college course, some of us are going to Brazil for a few days in January. While there's an itinerary planned, we will have some free time. So we've been wondering, where can we go to indulge in some of the more "adult" things Brazil has to offer? We're old enough to drink, but we'd like something memorable to take home. Any red-light districts? Donkey shows? Nude beaches? Tranny bars? We're looking for something outrageous that's also fun. We'll be in the following cities: Rio de Janeiro, Foz do Iguacu, Buenos Aires

EDIT: If you're going to be a tool and bend my words around, then please don't bother to post--thanks to those that ARE being helpful.

In Rio, go to Lapa, several bars and clubs, the best are Rio Senarium,
and 40 graus (40 degrees) ...
In Copacabana Help is a discotech, stock full of prostitues, you will be very popular there. down the coast from Ipanema, past Barra, somewhere along the winding coastal road is a nude beach, perhaps a local can tell you where.

both Copa beach and Ipanema beach have Gay sections, marked by the Rainbow flag..
if your here on Nov 30 there is a free Queen Concert on Copacabana beach. (I'll be there)

the Street Farme do Amoedo in Ipanema has several bars and restaurants and is known as the gay street at night you'll see guys (and guys) and girls and girls making out at the bars.

Also, bars and clubs don't start getting hopping until 1100 at night especially on weekends, so if you show up at 9 everything is dead.

Check out the book " Rio for Partiers" and the website, its a great investment. the 7th edition is the most up todate...
feel free to contact me if you have any more questions

Too bad you're going in January and not February, because that's when the Carnaval happens, and THAT would be different and a lot of fun. I'm from Rio and there are so many places to go and things to do (no donkey shows, tough). I don't really have to tell you where to go, you'll find out for yourself when you get there. Going to the Corcovado and/or the Sugar Loaf should be on top of your to do list. Watch your surroundings and stay away from the favelas. Do not carry much money or expensive things around with you. Rio is beautiful but it could be dangerous too. If you get robbed, please don't react, just give away whatever they ask for. Also, try to learn some Portuguese before you go because not a whole lot of people speak English there. Don't forget to order a caipirinha when you go out!
About Foz do Iguacu, I've been there once and the Cataratas do Iguacu is just amazing! You've got to go there. Take a rain jacket with you or you'll get wet :-)
Can't say anything about Buenos Aires, never been there...
Well, I hope you guys have a safe and fun trip!

Wow dude some of these posts are kinda judgmental. I won't do that. You said you want some honest answers, so here goes:

Rio:
Discotheque HELP - disco disguised as whorehouse. But the place isn't exactly a pimp outfit - all the girls happen to be there to be your date for the night. Outside HELP is a terrace restaurant called Terraco Atlantico, and you'll see a bunch of girls standing outside the plants area waiting to join you for some drinks, dinner, and something more. You don't even have to go inside HELP (30 reais entrance) if you don't want to. A lot of hot girls outside anyway.

Praca Maua - there are a few strip clubs there and you can take a girl home for the night, cheaper than HELP. Not many tourists there, still safe. Take a cab or bus. Every now and then some sailors there.

Vila Mimosa - craziest place of all. A long street filled with bars and snack stands, and on each side of the street are more bars and malls with cat houses inside. Have met some really hot girls there. All locals. Lots of taxis around there. Safe. Dirt cheap, but the setting (beds) are deplorable. Hot and smelly. Walk around, stop and a bar, drink some beer and see if you find your morena there. If you're looking for something fun and exciting this is the place.

The Lapa area has some street girls, none too attractive, some are trans too.

And oh yeah if you want the wildest girls go to a "terma". I'm not going to tell you what it is, I want you to see for yourself.

As far as donkey shows are concerned, nah this ain't Tijuana.

This isn't really an answer to your question. But just to clarify, prostitution isn't legal in Brazil, despite what the articles in American newspapers said when Ronaldo was being extorted a few months ago. (Contrary to what an earlier answerer stated, a red light district is often a sign of legal prostitution. Think Amsterdam compared to New York.) I think that the Rio for Partiers book that someone mentioned would be a good idea. It will probably steer you to things that meet your "outrageous" criterion while remaining safe and mostly legal.

Prostitution is legal so there aren't any "red-light districts". Women work the streets and certain bars. No donkey shows, this isn't Tiajuana. There's one nude beach but Brazilians aren't into nudity. Don't know about tranny bars. Some of the working girls will go topless on Copacabanna and Ipinima beaches. Do some research on other web-sites and visit a terma or massage parlor. As previously mentioned, Help disco is full of women. Another bar where they hang out is Balcony. If you get the chance head for 4X4, it's unbelievable. More details, e-mail me. Enjoy the trip.

Americans are usually uptight and when it comes to sex americans have no good experiences whatsoever. I feel your pain, trust me I do, I live here, a decent laid is as seldom as they came. When in Rio visit the club HELP, the prostitutes will go there and with $150-200 you will get laid, I;m talking about greek and other things, you just dream doing around this f***ed up country of ours, as far as Foz do Iguacu I don't know much about it. In buenos aires the p***y is cheap and widely available , simply ask the hotel concierge. Good luck.

Man,

You really should come to Belo Horizonte, in Minas Gerais state.
The main local sport is watch girls on the streets. And Its just the beginning .. http://www.belo-horizonte.travel

Adult fun? Here isn't a place for fun, specially "adult"!
Brazil doesn't need someone like you here to help such a abominable thing like prostitution. Here there aren't nude beaches or something "outrageous",man,i hate these f***ing stereotypes Americans have about my country. Here isn't the "adult paradise" as you think, there is laws and in Rio de Janeiro there are a lot o crime.I SUGGEST YOU TO STAY OUT OF MY COUNTRY!
James:He doesn't must to go to Belo Horizonte,my city doesn't need someone to contribute with prostitution!
