A question for Canadians? |
Does anyone find it annoying not having a one dollar bill here in Canada? I think it would be so much easier with one dollar bills, because I hate carrying lot's of change round and the 1 dollar coins and toonies are big. I always end up going into a 5 dollar bill and then I get a ton of change back. When ever I'm in the US I find it so much easier with the dollar bills!! Does anyon else feel this way, or is it just me? |

I'm American, but I live in a border town, so I spend a decent amount of time in Canada. I do find it annoying to have to use coins for $1 and $2 instead of paper money. My boss apparently tried to use some old paper $1 bills and the place wouldn't take them. Now THAT is really annoying.
I understand the idea that the coins will last longer than the paper money, but it still gets a little ridiculous. |

No, actually I prefer it. The paper money fills up my wallet, which is just as annoying. |

I don't really care one way or another. I pay for 99.9% of stuff either by Interac or credit card now anyway.

At first I found it very annoying that I had all these stupid coins to carry around......but you know, you get used to it.
What I find great, is at the end of the day I take all the loonies & toonies and put them in a change jar......you'd be amazed how fast you can save up money this way.
What really annoys me is pennies......those are a pain! |

I was annoyed when they first came out with the loonie and then twoonie, but now I like it. Whenever I'm in the States I find my wallet is bulging because I'm carrying about ten $1 bills in it. |

It is annoying - and they are still planning on minting a $5 coin here within the next 5 years or so. Grrr.... no wonder we Canadians all seem to wear big belts. Our Pockets are so freakin' heavy from all the change we have to carry all the time. (pulls pants down lol) |
