Diversity Girl

About Canada, would it really be worthwhile going there?

Next summer, I might be going to Ontario,Tornoto but after looking at videos and pics it seems extremely boring. My friend that lives there said it is so much fun and that it is far from boring. It doesn't seem like the USA specifically New York, where there are lights, camera and action going on.

brew m, speaking of the train, I am planning to take amtrak to go there.

I visited Toronto for the first time a couple months ago. The cities were clean, the people were friendly, it was easy to get around, the public transportation was cheap and easy to get around on. I loved it, and would definitely go back for a longer stay.

Toronto is a wonderful place to go and yes, you will have plenty to do. I don't know that you will see a movie or a TV show being filmed on every street corner, but there is wonderful night life, a theater district, shopping malls, a great China town, 4 and 5 star restaurants, etc. Do a little research on the internet (just type Toronto into Google or Yahoo). Go, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Toronto is far from boring, but it so tries to be New York, so I am very confused to your question. There is some of the best theatre in Toronto, and you won't be able to walk through the streets in the summer without being moved to the other side of the streets, avoiding an outdoor movie set. If you want lights and cameras that is. Toronto is very much a global meltin pot struggling to get it's own identity. I would highly recomment Montreal. It's the most European city outside of Paris you can find. You will just find a bunch of American shops up and down Yonge and Bloor, why leave the US if we have our own copy right there in Toronto?

*notcanada.com has nothing to do with tourism, it is about the failed 'points system' dealing with immigration. it is a great site but I hardly think she has a PHD from India and wants to move here. I recommended that site just yesterday dealing with immigration, it's honest, but not related to tourism at all.

I'd love to go to Canada sometime. I live in the Pacific Northwest and I love scenery and I'm sure Canada has some really great places to visit. (I also get commercials all the time for a museum that shouldn't be too terribly far from where I am.)

Macerally
I have never been to Tornoto but I love Canada and the Canadian people are the nicest people I have ever encountered. They are open and friendly and if I could I would move there in a heart beat.

If you're a party girl, or a shopping girl, or a girl that likes hot guys, then I definately recommend montreal.
it has THE best parties and nightlife, while there is also a lot to do and visit during the day.
its so much funner.

harry k
Toronto is it's own city and not like NYC. Don't compare it to NYC. Go see for yourself. With that being said Montreal has more going for it than Toronto. More culture, more interesting nightlife.

The thing about Toronto is it's a nondescript city. It's used in movies a lot to simulate other cities, that should tell you something. It's very generic.

.?J?s???. *???lli??*
No.

brian
Toronto is an boring, it's just another city, if you want to see the best of Canada go to the West coast, see Van, Squamish, Whistler and the Rockies, the east coast is pathetic and the people there are snobs because they think they are from New York.

I live here, dont come....unless you like being around a bunch of american hating drug using whores with no morals. Its boring and even a fun night will be destroyed by the having to be around other canadians. But if you like drugs and collect stds then go ahead.
