Air Canda flight from Vancouver, what if I dont reach the Airport in time?

Say, I miss the Air Canada flight from Vancouver to Montreal. Will they put me in the next flight?

I believe they will put you on the next available flight if there's a vacant seat. Can you phone them if you know you're going to be late and let them know? That would be the best thing to do, and you might have a better chance of getting a seat on the next flight.

SteveN
If you missed the flight because you were late arriving at the airport from your home, that depends on the ticket that you purchased. You may be charged a penalty and have to wait for an available flight (essentially flying on standby).

On the other hand, if you are flying into Vancouver and catching a connecting flight to Montreal, they have to provide you with a way to get to your destination since that was their fault. They will again usually try to get you on a another of their flights which may be later in the day, or they may try to get you on a partner airline to get you there.

If they cannot get you out on the same day, they will usually offer you a voucher for a hotel and/or meal, and get you on the next earliest flight.

Webber
Depends if your flight missed a connecting flight, or if you slept in and didn't get to the airport in time.

They'll put you on the next flight, provided theres an empty seat. If not, they will ask anyone if they are willing to give up there seat so you can get on. If no one does, you'll be sitting there until you get a seat.

If you had a connecting flight coming in and it was delayed, yes they will accommodate you.
However if you arrive late at the airport coming from home or. . .then you missed your flight and it is lots of luck, you lost it

It depends on the circumstances and who you're dealing with.

If it's not a full-fare ticket, you don't have any rights at all.

If it's just crass incompetence on your part, you're not likely to get much sympathy.

If you miss the flight because a connecting flight which is on the same ticket was late, they'll always do their best for you.

If you miss the flight because a connecting flight which was not on the same ticket was late, they may try to help you, but no guarantees on anything, unless there's plenty of empty seats.
