Well i would expect most of these idiots i live with to dislike the nation out of jealousy but IMO Canada is the best country in the world, 10x better than the US, im actually looking into emigrating to it. And quebec? I dont know honestly, ive never been but i imagine its a nice place like all the other provinces and territories. |

Canadians are a very civilized people. I would love to live there. I spent a summer in Montreal a few years back, I felt very at home there. However its VERY bureaucratic to get anything done. |

I don't know anything specific about Quebec, but I think Canadians are nice people and I have no idea why Americans keep making fun of Canadians. I think we have a lot more aspects that can be poked fun at. |

I'm Canadian, but I have lived in the US.
Jay is right in a sense. As a Canadian I truly do not understand why some Canadians feel the need for approval by other countries.
I will say Canada often gets undeservedly ignored. I'm saying this out of the schooling I've taken. I once took a class int he US saying that D-day was only fought by the British and Americans... kinda ticked me off.
But for more tangible things, most Americans have absolutley no idea, WHATSOEVER, of Canada. They don't necessarily think anything bad of us, but they don't think good of us either.
The things they do know about us are generally pretty stereotypical and/or false and skewed in some way. Kind of like how most of them believe that moron from FOX that said the terrorists came in through Canada.
But other than that I get the same old. They think Canada is homogenous, some speak French, there is no army, beer and weed is good, and it's freezing cold.
You have no idea how confused some of them get when I mention that Canada has provinces, or that my province (Alberta) has cowboys... anything you can say to them that speaks of Canada's diversity usually just confuses them. |

I love the multiculturalism of Canada, the happy level, the naturalness of nature, the contemporary family living, the fact everything is less showy and more real, the sense of community in Canada,
I'd love to make the move to Canada if all factors worked out that enabled me to be able to do something like that and Canada took me in. |

You know what bugs me as a Canadian is why we care what they think of us. We like to put down everything about the States and then go whining for attention. Bleh! I vote to stop caring. |

LMAO @ bubbles
Hmm.... Canadians are proud of their country, almost like an inferiority complex. If something is Canadian, canadians make sure you know it. Almost like they need approval of other countries- just like how you are asking this question. |

It's a big country with seemingly nothing but ice, trees and lakes and people who sound like the Swedish chef from The Muppet Show when they talk. Quebec sounds like a nice place to visit, meanwhile. |
