Black Aliss
clifton hill for the gawdy wax museums

you can go to the butterfly conservatory ( live butterflies in an indor botanical gardens)

also there is a "veiw behind the falls" that is pretty cool

if you want to trek to the american side the cave of the winds tour is fun (unless it is cold)

The Maid of the Mist is a MUST you get the absolute best view from there

Maple leaf village has a tower with a restuarnt on top with a great view of the falls!

the wire car across the whirlpool is pretty neat

there is a speed boat type thing that actually takes you into the rapids of the whirlpool, but if it is not summer, it is not a good idea.

there are helicopter rides on the american side, not sure if they are offered on the canadian side

I love the Falls I grew up in WNY and every time i go home to see my folks I always go to see the falls!

Edit :Maid of the Mist tours run from May 1st till the end of October

Obviously you'll see the Falls. But there's other things to do.

Clifton Hill has lots of tourist-type fare. Be wary of spending money there, as it's expensive, since everyone is trying their best to gouge the tourists.

Hiking in the Niagara Gorge is great, too. It can be hiked year-round, there's plenty of opportunities for photos, exercise, and getting close to the Whirlpool Rapids.

Niagara Falls has two casinos, so if gambling is your thing, you can try your luck there.

Try some of the local fare, not the tourist traps. Some quality restaurants to try are Basell's Restaurant (Victoria Ave.), Flying Saucer (Lundy's Lane), and Simon's Restaurant (Bridge St.).

Niagara Helicopters (Victoria Ave.) is loads of fun. I can't remember the non-local prices, but it'll be worth it. Just make sure you bring a camera and/or video camera. Don't cheap out, either - phone cameras don't do the view justice!

You can always visit my family and I, as we live a few blocks from the Falls. We have cold drinks, the original Nintendo, an air hockey table, a Tyco slot car track, and a 1-year old that needs a babysitter.

SkyWheel, Wax Museum, Falls Tower, Ripley's Believe It Or Not, Maid of the Mist, Guiness Records, Butyterfly Conservatory, etc.

I have a suggestion for dinner...go to Copacabana the Brazilian Steak house. It is the best place for dinner at a reasonable price. It is located just up the street from Fallsview Casino.

When my band class went to Niagara Falls last year, we went on the Maid of the Mist. It's a really fun boat ride. You get a close up of the Niagara Falls. It was amazing!!

Andie
Get yourself a really nice hotel room with a view of the falls. My fiance and I do it a couple times a year and don't even feel the need to leave the room :)

Although, we do sometimes take a walk to the casino (gorgeous - and I left with $4 extra dollars last time!) and we usually go for dinner at one of the many restaurants. I liked the new Wolfgang Puck one.

And, if the weather cooperates, just walking around and taking in the sights is usually enough fun :)

The Maid of the mist is probably no trunning anymore at this time of year. You can also visit Niagara on the lake just 20 minutes away on the Niagara Parkway, quaint little town with great shopping.
