Anyone been to Banff, Canada???

Banff is a great place to go. There is great golfing, white water rafting (or easy rafting) great walks (easy and hard) lots of shopping, history. A nice place to look is Lake Moraine, Lake Louise. Make sure you take your camera.
Make sure you take a heavier jacket or sweater because it gets very chilly in the evening.
The gondola trip up sulphur mountain is nice, if you are lucky you should be able to see some mountain goats.
If possible go to Johnson Canyon, it is a little bit out of Banff but it is great. Take a good pair of runner or hiking boots. There is a walk along a canyon (uphill mostly) along a creek and falls, if you go all the way to the top there are Indian Ink Pots. About 7 i believe. small ponds with very cold clear water. At the bottom of the ponds the sand bubbles. It is a sight that is a long way to get there but it is a fantastic feeling to be there.
Banff has a great candy store, and a christmas store. pretty cool to see.

LOVE Banff, take the gondola up Sulphur mountain for the best view.
Visit the hot springs and most definately Banff Springs Hotel ( Now a Fairmont) Also check out the history.... go to the museum at the end of the main street. There REALLY IS a lot of history there!!!

Banff is just too beautiful to describe properly.A small town in a national park surrounded by mountains, beautiful aqua lakes especially Lake Louise.Every leisure activity is available.

I have visiting many times, lived there and continue to visit when I can. I am a native Albertan therefore my loyalty to Banff will always be. Banff is a great town for many things. There are hot springs to visit, a great hotel (Banff Springs Hotel), wonderful activities (hiking, rafting, boating, tours, etc...). Great shopping....great food, and anything else that is typical of touristy towns. Banff is so beautiful, when I lived there I walked everywhere as the scenery just capitivated me. Today, I still love the mountains...and have aspired to live near them because my first experiences as a child were Banff. I will always hold a special place in my heart for Banff. I no longer live in Canada...so when I come home to visit, I try to include a visit to make it complete.

Banff if great....take the cable car up the mountain or ride the horses on the sight seeing tour..you will love it there.....have fun
