There is TONS to do at Niagara Falls!!! Some of the most well known attractions are the Maid of the Mist, and Journey Behind the Falls. The first is a boat ride that takes you really close to the Falls, and the second is a bunch of tunnels behind them with balconies that let you see them from behind. Be prepared to get wet with those!

Then, you have Clifton Hill. Tourist mania!! Every kind of museum you can imagine....... There is the Ripley's Believe it or Not, the Guiness World Records, Wax Museum, Motorcycle Museum, and many many others. There are also a few cool arcades. The Fun House is kind of Random, but really, well, fun! One of the newest attractions, the Sky(something), is a HUUUUGE ferris wheel...... You get ariconditioned booths, and it lasts about 15 minutes.
Then you have the Butterfly Conservatory (really nice) and the Aviary. Also, Marineland!

There IS great shopping too, especially if you cross to the American side, but even in Canada there are amazing outlet malls. Ask your hotel about that.

Speaking of which, there are tons of hotels at all price ranges. We stay at either the Marriot or the Sheraton, and once in a while the Hilton.

Obviously, tons of restaurants. Many are kind of pricy.... but try eating in your hotel (the Marriot has a lovely place), and our family's favourite place is Mick and Angelo's. The Italian food is fabulous, the portions are huge, and unlike other places, it's cheap! But eating is definitely not a problem.

Obviously, your trip may cost something if you go to the attractions, but everything I talked about I have done on one trip or another, and everything is well worth it!!

There is so much to do at the falls....you can take the Maid of the Mist boat ride if it is warm enough. On the American side of the falls, you can hike the falls and I think the steps actually go right under part of the falls. Ther is a lot of shopping on the Canadian side. Even if you are staying on the American side, you can head over for the day and go shopping. There is a was museum there that was pretty good. There is also an Indian Reservation close by that you can visit. I can't remember the name of it but if you are driving you will see signs for it on the way in. Its a long drive from NJ, so take the time to enjoy the falls. Have a great trip.

The falls are marvelous! There is so much to do your won't have time for it all. Lots of great shopping, dining, boat rides, tours under the falls, and nightly entertainment and fireworks. Have a grand time! If you drive, you will "hear" the falls for miles and miles before you get there. The falls are totally awsome!

Sorry, knicto, but I can't really agree with your answer. Niagara Falls is like any other major tourist location with price ranges that can be extreme if you're not careful. I've been there many times and sometimes spent too much and other times kept within budget. Hsingyu, you didn't say whether you were planning to visit the U.S. side or the Canadian side. Having spent time at both I have no hesitation in saying the Canadian side is a better place to visit. The view of the Falls is much better and there are very many great hotels to choose from. Check out some of the various websites that detail anything and everything to do there. If you want a suggestion on where to stay I recommend the Fallsview Inn. It is a nice small hotel right across the street from the pricey Fallsview Hotel. They usually have some nice package deals. It's also right across the street from Planet Hollywood, the Niagara Falls Casino, and a short block away from Clifton Hill, the main tourist area. The US side is really nice, but not set up as well for visitors. Have a great trip!!

Asian Mami
My boyfriend and I went about 3 months ago and we loved it.

But other than the tourist things to do - Maid of the Mist, Journey Behind the Falls, etc. - You can go to the casinos, restaurants, bike ride beside the river, helicopter ride, there are some nice nightclubs where you can dance the night away too..

Walk around Clifton Hill and see all the different shops, restaurants, and entertainment.

Make sure to visit the US side as well and see the Cave behind the Falls (i think that is the name) you will see it from the canada side. You get to touch the falls and feel just how powerful the force of the water is.

a few more suggestions i can give you is the great Canadian midway is good has alot of game for reasonable pricing, on river road going away from the falls there a store called souvenir city you will have to drive because from the falls it would be a bit of a walk. once there go see the glass blowers i could watch them for hours epically if the old Italian guy is there he is the best at making it more interactive. goto the japanese garder its nice there and not too many people go there. goto www.infoniagra.com this has to be one of the best websites for niagara falls tourst and you can print off coupons from that site too

Right across the street on Canada side there is alot to do.
Ripley's believe it or not, just a whole bunch to do. Stop by Shopper's Drug Mart and pick up a coupon book for all the attractions. It's worth it.

But Why??
be different. go over the falls in a barrel....
