They ARE hot. The shaving thing is BS.

I was there a few years ago and astounded by how universally hot the local girls were.

Here's why:
1) They care about how they look. They go out and look good even if they are just running out for coffee. They dress well and groom themselves. They don't throw on crappy sweatpants and flipflops to go out in public like the slobs here in the US.
2) They aren't a bunch of fat slobs like they are in the US. Goes back to taking care of themselves.
3) The few that are heavy, don't go out in belly shirts and hip huggers like the chubbers here in the US do, with their gut hanging over their belt.

It's a nice experience.

Girls everywhere are hot! I don't think you'll have the time to find out though especially if you're on a class trip. Also, don't believe everything you've heard. Girls do shave they are just as modern as we are. My question to you is will they think you're HOT?
and for some reason I think not.

Montreal women are cooped up inside from October to April and go out wearing heavy clothing during that time due to the cold Canadian weather.

As a result, they tend to make up for lost time by looking REALLY fine around late April and early May, coming out dressed and looking like they are trying to get on the cover of Vogue.

I have been in Montreal all my life and do not know a single woman here that does not shave or get the waxing done. Legs and pits are almost always baby smooth.

If you are coming to Montreal as a french cultural thing, you should find it interesting up here to try and socialize with the locals. American French classes tend to teach you the Parisian French, but here there are more slangs as it is considered Quebecois French. It is usually more informal and has adopted several English words, translated into French.

Make sure that while you are here, you sample the Quebec Poutine at Lafleur restaurant or Belle Province restaurant. (Don't get one at McDonalds - it is good but not truly a traditional poutine)

And hopefully you will be seeing the Bonsecours Market in the Old Port, and L'Oratoire St. Joseph (the big green roofed church you can see on the skyline).

You obviously have not travelled much, the females look great every where and if your class is going to Montreal for an educational french class and you are going there to check out girls you need to be kicked off the bus halfway in Ottawa.

First of all, ignore Steve N's suggestion to sample poutine at (the greasy spoon chain restaurants of) LaFleur or Belle Province, though you might want to sample poutine - for cultural learning only, because the dish is fattening and disgusting (Quebec style frites with cheese curds smothered in brown beef gravy).

Far better to sample the Montreal culinary specialty: smoked meat sandwiches. Montreal Smoked Meat is actually the Montreal recipe for cured pastrami. (If you are coming from NY or VT I assue you that Montreal pastrami is better even than NY's). Also, most of the better Quebecoise French restaurants
have at least one or two game dishes on their menus. If your class treats itself to a meal at such a restaurant of them be sure to order one.

As for Montreal girls being "hot" - compared to girls from where elsewhere? Like in most of Canada Montreal women tend to be liberal and sexually experienced at an age somewhat younger than - say - in the States but about the same as in continental Europe.

Big city, they have their fair share of hot women. It isn't very warm on Montreal now, so I suspect they will be all wrapped in clothing. You won't be able to tell if they are furry or not.
