Lil Lady

Are the night clubs in Vancouver pretty good?

sure, depends what you're into as there are hundreds of clubs, pubs, lounges and restaurants to pick from - there's something going on every night...

check out "clubzone" for a pretty thourough listing of various clubs and nights - as well in Vancouver, pick up the free weekly "The Georgia Straight" for the 411 on what's up

ps. IMO - anything on Granville St (sorta main drag) is pretty meathead fratboy, bridge and tunnel crowd, best to be avoided unless you're into that sort of thing.

There are some night clubs in Vancouver that are pretty good. There is the Roxy (which has a live band), The Stone Temple, The Blarney Stone (which is an Irish Pub) . There was a club called The Bigbamboo which had a moving dance floor (I don't know if it is still there. There is a club in Surrey called The Mirage (and there is a dress code to get in). A country bar in Maple Ridge called Roosters. There are also some bars that are okay, and then some that are really nasty. If you want to stay in the Vancouver area, stay on Granville Street because there are a few clubs in that area. In general though, a bar is a bar where ever you go

Yes, ma'm! There are some great nightclubs in Vancouver, and some pretty good ones in Victoria. Lots more fun in Vancouver, though, because the whole West End is a playground.

Victoria's got better ones

jzwigger
no not really. they are all pretty boring. if you do go make sure you wear your best flannel shirt that have.
watch out for the rats and garbage in the clubs because canada isnt as clean as America.
