Are the power outlets in Canada the same as in the US?

I am going to be traveling to Canada over the summer and I want to know if I will be able to charge my ipod and cell phone with the same power cords I use in the US.

Yes we use the same power outlets and cords here in Canada.

OK don't listen to "Brian Mulroney" there. Yes we have the same power outlets but we are not the same at all. Good luck and have fun in Canada!

Total Drama Island Know-It-All
Yup. The power outlets are the same.

amesr_57
The voltage and the power cords are the same. The only difference is Canada is 50 Hz and the USA is 60 Hz for the voltage cycle. It is unlikely that you would have a device sensitive enough to matter.

Yes,

WineWayne
Yes we have the same outlets but our cars have square wheels. Glad your coming out of your shell. Wow.

Robb R
Ameser is wrong!! Canada is 60 Hz.

Canada is the US what are you talking about?

Canada and the USA are the exact thing. The Canadians might think they are a different country from the USA, but culturally we're the same.

With the US-Canada free trade, we Canadians are part of the USA.
