Are there vacation/expedition packages in Canada to club baby seals.?

I have always wanted to join the seal hunt in Canada. Are there any guided expeditions?

Sorry. I did a quick google and couldn't find anything. Try a package involving a trip to the chicken or cow slaughter house. Lots and lots of blood flowing everywhere in those places. And the agony of screams from the animals will give you goosebumps. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

I know you probably meant this question as a way to protest the seal hunt, or just to get a whole bunch of people upset and trying to flame you in response. You accomplished your goal.

However, I think I should point out in all seriousness that the Canadian seal hunt is not a "vacation". It is a job done under difficult conditions and harsh weather, and often the only job a maritimer can get at that time of the year due to the overfishing that has occurred by several countries in the international waters of the Atlantic off the banks of Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.

Canada is not alone in the hunting of seals (Greenland, Norway, and Russia also do hunts), but with it being the largest hunt, and it has the eyes of the world watching, our coast guard and navy make sure that all proper regulations are followed according to age of the seals, humane killing, and quantity allowed. It also controls their population, so that the fishing industry does not have to compete with as many seals for their catch in the months afterward.

As long as there is a demand for the meat, the pelts, and the blubber, the seal hunt will likely continue. Instead of making snide comments, or joining Greenpeace and trying to ram the Canadian trawlers, why not just make a stand at home and say "I will not buy any products that were made from seals". That means no Versace or Gucci products, reject many types of pet food, no fish oil supplements, and certainly no flipper pie.

Activists get upset that Canadians kill about 300,000 seals during the hunt each year of an estimated total population of almost 10 million. And I always find it ironic that seal conservationists use the picture of the white furry babies (which are illegal to hunt). But here is a little known fact:

Did you know that almost every US state has a mule deer or white-tail deer hunt that allows the slaughter of between 1-6 deer per hunter for recreation, not for livelihood? In 2005 in Alabama alone, there were over 500,000 deer killed during the hunting season. But Paul McCartney and Greenpeace activists are not having their picture taken sitting next to Bambi.

That is a good idea, I'd take one too. But here are a couple reasons why I think that the answer is no, you can't take such a thing. First off, they don't club baby seals legally anymore. They shoot them, more humane. And they aren't baby white coats anymore, a couple months older than that. I did say legally. If a money hungry seal lover wants to put photos up on their save the seals but give us money website, they can get a starving hunter to do what they want by giving them some of that save the seal cash.

But the hunt is under harsh weather conditions. It's dangerous. It's not an easy job, and it would be tough to get insurance for tour operations.

And mostly seal lovers will take them. Wolves in sheep's clothing, they'd pretend to be interested to get out there on a convenient trip and start protesting. There are some laws about being around too because of the danger the protesters have put themselves in previously.

yes absolutely, fly into St Johns Newfoundland and head down to the waterfront where all the saloons and bars are. Anyone will do. Announce loudly that you want to see the seal hunt up close and personal.
One of two things will happen./.. you will be offered a job on a boat where you'll get the full experience of shooting your own young seal (clubbing and killig baby whie coats illegal btw)

OR
someone will spot you for a sarcastic idiot and club you like a seal and throw you out on the ice were you'll become bear food hence the bear doesnt need to eat a poor seal and you'll have saved one of the creatures from the cruel fate of being mauled by a 2000 pound polar bear.
Polar Bears are so cruel and they go after all, especially the cute white furry baby seals. They dont kill them quickly with a blow to the head rather they shred them into little bits whilst still alive. They cry for their mommies and they try to fend off the teeth and claws but those damn bears are big! There ought to be a law banning such brutish behaviour. Thats why we also shoot Polar Bears here

Not happening. you need a license and it's against the law to take baby seals.

It's the most regulated hunt in the world, so unless you know someone who hunts seals for substance or owns a sealing boat you are out of luck.

Hey buddy, why don't you go and hunt something you can actually use like deer, rabbits or go fishing. what the hell do you want with a BABY Seal anyway?????
I hope you get eaten by a fricken bear ya lousy excuse for a human!!!!
