Are you happy with Canada, or are you a little sad that globally, Canada is about as good as it gets?

As a Canadian living in Los Angeles, actually I am proud that Canada is as close to Utopia that the human race has achieved. I only live in LA for the weather.

I am quite pleased with Canada. In the past 10 years, we have come a long way as a major player on the global stage and have become a very good role model to other aspiring countries as well. I think with proper leadership guidance we have the capacity to become even greater, yet, over the next 75 to 100 years.

I'm not half as sad as I'd be if I was American with a tanking economy.

ETA: We'll gladly look after all the trees you want. We'll just charge what WE want when we sell them to you. Kind of a symbiotic relationship, eh?

you could only hope to live in such a great country as Canada

I am pretty happy with Canada as it is. Could always be better but isn't that what life is about?
I feel very fortunate that I can travel anywhere in the world and be well received - and I do not have to sew some other country's flag on MY backpack!

I feel blessed to be a Canadian! I get to rely on the safety of the US military to keep us safe. We do support them as we see fit. I sometimes wonder how we get to be a member of the G-7. We don't have the technology for a ICBM missle, we can't launch a satellite. We don't have nuclear submarines, or aircraft carriers like the other nations. Our navy has four new submarines, we bought from the British from world war II. We don't have to put our money up for a defense system, we have the US paying for it on our land. Our unemployment is higher than the US, but not near as high as the unemployment rate in Europe. Our GDP growth is the best in the Western hemisphere. We have a healthcare plan where everyone is covered. Our taxes are a lot more than many free countries, and less than others. Our gasoline prices are cheaper than Europe, but twice that of the US. Many of our factories are US, asian or european companies. Our education system is great. It bothers me that our media is government controlled, and that we don't have as much freedom of the press as many other free countries. I do agree, Canada is about as good as it gets, but we; like everyone have our issues, and are greatful to have our American brother. If the US collapses econmomically, I don't know where that will leave us.

If only it was as good as Australia.

As an American, I for one, wish to thank you Canadians for continuing to provide to the globe your true function as the repository for our trees.

We are eternally grateful..
