I live in upstate NY..miss the snow dreadfully. This area counts on the money from snowmobilers, skiiers, snowboarders, and ice fishermen that flock to this area in the winter.
Today it has rained all day, and the creeks are flooding...it could have been snow!!

Nope don't miss it at all. Since I'm kinda forced to be way up north here it's kinda nice to have the warm weather.

"Am I missing the snow"?...a very good question

It's raining right now here. Usually there would be a couple of feet of snow at this time of year and there is none. I live in Maine. I do miss it, the kids can't sled and the mud season has been extended indefinitely.

Hey sacandaga! We must be neighbors!! I'm on the lake too and don't miss it one iota., although kids are bummed about no skiing/snowboarding,etc..I know our local maple syrup producers are concerned as trees are starting to run sap. And, yes, unfortunately our area relies heavily on tourist monies generated by snow sports and recreation.

OMG!!! we must be the only area in canada that has too much snow!! continued avalanche controls, and I'm very much tired of shoveling, whenever it snows we don't just get a few centimetres we get 6 inches to a foot!!! haven't seen this much snow here in years!!
