If you drive into the US you have another year. If you fly a direct flight to Mexico, you don't need one.
But as of right now Customs at the airports are allowing a few months grace period for those without a passport. If you want to travel to mexico or the US, do it now. |

You can only visit the US and then only if travelling by land . Air travel from Can to the US required a passport as of Jan 24th 07 land travel will not require a passport until 2009. but have good id just in case |

Without a passport, hardly a single country. Without a visa (which is what I think you mean), there a very few countries that require Canadians to get a visa. |
