 About the weather in Canada?
Hey, guys, I need to know how's the weather anywhere in the *north* of Canada on July.

I've been searching, but I haven't found anything, so I was hoping you could help me......

grenter

As a former Winnipeg resident, I can only say.....I am grateful I left. Lousy weather, lousy shopping.?

It's flat, cold, bad food, politically correct in all the bad ways, and a overall sad, tired horrid place. It was fine growing up, before I knew better but it totally sucks. Gads, flee if you can! Comments anyone??!!

I lived there for a while when I was a child and I'll never forget the winters. Don't blame you for leaving. My dull cousins still live there. They are never happy.

I'm sure the residents of that city are happy you left as well. I've only ever been there on business trips and it seems pretty nice to me (lots of culture and great restaurants). I travel quite a bit through North America and have found each and every place unique. Perhaps that's because I always look for the good things as apposed to the bad. Wherever you live now I'm sure in time you'll grow to dislike it as well in due time as most negative people do.

I grew up in Calgary now living in Chicago and left for different reasons and would never go back to live but only to visit. Doesn't mean I dislike the place it's just that I've found a place that is more to my liking. My advice..grow up little and focus more on the positives.

To each their own.
But honestly, Winnipeg is known for is huge restaurant selection with many different ethnic groups that cater to them. So I don't know where the "bad" food comment came from. There are so many absolutely amazing places to eat here.
Our weather is extreme but Winnipegger's know how to handle them.
We are friendly people and have many things to be proud of in Winnipeg. Our shopping centers are getting better and better by the moment. Our history and landmarks are beautiful. And so what, it's flat...it's home to so many of us.
Every city has its downfall. It's too bad someone as ungrateful and rude as you are had to experience it. I don't know how someone can be "better" than a place or feel "good" enough to insult us. Thank-you for leaving our city a better place, we're glad you left.

I loved Winnipeg! I miss it so much! The people are amazing - friendly, involved and genuine. For me, that makes up for it being cold and snowy in the winter (and the beautiful summers help too!). As for the food - OMG! I love the vast number of ethnic food restaurants there! And, yes it's flat in most regions but there is beauty to be found even in the prairies! Also, there is the shield on the eastern border that blows my mind. All the untouched wilderness (Nopiming and Atikaki Provincial parks); the pines, the rocks the lakes and the water falls. I would head back in a heart beat if I could find a job there! One day I do plan on heading back!!!

Rita
You are right about the cold, but the people here are so nice. The food... we have so many different ethnics with so many restaurants and the shopping we have just as many of the same stores that any other major city has. I wouldn't move even if it meant nicer winters, its to bad you can't see that

With your attitude I doubt you will be totally happy anywhere. Every city, and every province has something wrong. Having lived in Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Trenton, and Zweibrucken, Germany, I can tell you every place also has something good going for it. If you can't see that, I feel sorry for you, and whatever city you are in.

At least we're not a bunch of hillbillies like Saskatchewan!

where is the best place to sell kids furnitures in manitoba

Curious Penguin
Geez, since when is it rude to have an opinion?! Relax people!

As for Winnipeg, it's certainly not the best place on earth, nor is it the worst. I think that people are getting fed up with the justice system though, but that's a provincial/federal problem.

It would help a lot if we tackled our problems more efficiently. It'd be nice if we could abolish the street gangs and make people feel safe when they're downtown. There are many socio and economic issues that need to be dealt with, but aren't.

Everyone who says Winnipeg is a wonderful city most likely live in Charleswood, St Vital, St Norbert, or St Boniface.

I agree with everything except the food bit. i hate Winnipeg and cannot wait to escape. Too bad I have to wait for a few more years.
