Banff or Niagara Falls?

If you were to spend a week in either of these places for a vacation, which would you choose?

I've been to both, and I'd definately chose Banff. Niagara Falls was pretty, but I found the area around there cheesy.
On the other hand Banff is so beautiful

BANFF! Hands down! There is no comparison. Niagara Falls is a hyped up place which is only worth a visit if you are visiting the area for some reason.

Banff. There is a lot more to see and do in the mountains. It's a beautiful place. You could spend two weeks there and still not see it all.

I'd choose Banff...but I'd rather hike in the mountains than visit a haunted house of horrors or something of the sort. In Niagra, the falls themselves are the only thing worth seeing for me, I don't go for all the other amusement-park-like attractions. Banff is just plain beautiful and there are lots of outdoor activities to enjoy.

Niagara Falls if you want to go to the Casino.

I'd go with Banff otherwise...

Gibby: Banff is in Canada. What does being Canadian have to do with selecting Niagara Falls ?

I'm from St. Catharines though, So Niagara Falls is something I could see every day...

Angela, eh?

I've only been to Banff. But that was when I was 6 years old.
Niagara Falls is cool too. You get to go to 2 countries.
You can't go wrong choosing either one.

In Banff you can go to the fairmont restaurant in the Banff Springs Hotel for a world famous brunch and then wonder in this hotel. The hotel is like a castle with a shopping area. The actual town of Banff is small but very classy with allot of out of town excursions. Snowshoeing, Dog sled races, skiing, mountain climbing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, glacier hiking and more. They also have a cool hot springs and right beside it a gondola that takes you to the top of sulfur mountain. Also you'll see wildlife.

With that said I've actually never been to the Niagara falls but would love to go some day.

I have never been to banff, but I live about a 1 hour and a bit from Niagara falls. It is very fun there and lots to see and do. Depending on what you are in to. Many little shops and museums all around. great night life as well. I think either way i would choose niagara as Banff as far as I know 9which is pretty much nothing) is more for people who enjoy winter activities.

depends where your from. I'm from Canada so id go c Niagara first
