Montreal is the most well-known Canadian city to foreigners. Next is Toronto, then either Vancouver, Ottawa or Niagara Falls. Then knowledge drops severely

KD

ottawa the main capital of canada.good luck!!!

fatsausage
Halifax, Nova Scotia

PuckDat
Montreal or the capital Ottawa.

TV
Its gotta be Montreal. I've noticed in many movies and books that I've seen recently Montreal is featured somehow. It could be a meeting place or a characters home town. Montreal is my choice for the most exotic city in Canada. Meaning not like any other Canadian city I've been to. Ottawa is a close second.

probably montreal and ottawa

Marie
Because it is bi-lingual as well as cosmopolitan international, Montréal is probably more known than either Toronto or Vancouver, although it has for half a century lost its rank as THE preeminent Canadian city.

Not Ready to Make Nice
Cow Town, Home of the Stampede, my home town.
