Best Candian Birthday Celebration Destination.? |
I'm coming to Canada for my 19th birthday.
What city should I celebrate in? We're coming from Pittsburgh, PA, so we were thinking Montreal, Toronto, or Ottawa.
Any suggestions of cities and/or places to hang out and/or drink in said cities?
Thanks! |

As an American who has spent the last five years in Canada on July 1st I would say that I love Ottawa on Canada day most of all. They have a great celebration in front of parliment with a parade, concerts, and fireworks. It is very similiar to the one we have in Washington DC on July 4th. If at all possible I will be at the parliment hill again this year the evening of Canada Day.

Oh Yes, Niagara falls is the No.1, You will have every thing there, nightlife, Recreation activities, It's a complete package place for every age group:)
You can find all the nice eat/drink joints at clifton hills and best wine testing experience at NiagaraOnTheLake.
A++++ Place |

Niagara falls is the place for you to party. You don't have to go as far as one of the big cities. try Rumor's and Dragonfly when you are here. www.cliftonhill.com, www.falls.com, www.casinoniagara.com, www.niagaraonthelake.com
You don't have to wait until you are 19 to celebrate if you plan to go to Montreal Quebec as drinking age is 18 there. |

Whoops! I misread your question and thought you were coming for Canada's birthday, which is July 1st. >However, it's your birthday instead. Well, Montreal is fun, Toronto is fun, Ottawa is interesting. |

If i were u i'd do Niagara falls, especailly if you haven't been there before, or for a while. By doing so you can easily do Toronto as well ( it's only a little over an hour drive away ). In Niagara Rumors is your best bet, it's always packed, there will be lots of 19 -21 year olds, many americans and it's right in the middle of all the action on clifton hill. In Toronto, the entertainment district is about 5 blocks north of the CN tower, there are all kinds of clubs all within walking distance of one another so you'll have lots of choice ( take the Spadina exit north off the Gardiner expressway ). Any more details or question feel free to email me |

Montreal and/or Toronto - skip Ottawa.
If you have time to do both - do, otherwise Montreal has the best nightlife and you only have to be 18. |

I would go to the Falls. Lots of bars/clubs/casino. And it is cheaper than Toronto.
Toronto is good if you want to sightsee and do things but if you just want to party than go to the Falls. Toronto's bars are pricey.
Montreal is a lot of fun, but cover at the bars is expensive, drinks are expensive, and if you cant understand French it may cause you problems.
Look into London, Ontario and Ottawa - 2 big University towns with a lot of bars and clubs. |
