Edmonton is my favourite city hands down in Canada. Pretty big city but its spread out so its not TOO hectic like Calgary. Lots to do in Edmonton, you have old strathcona always festivals and events going on there, WEM, downtown edmonton really nice, right on the river the golf courses and clubs down there. Great place.
Montreal and Ottawa would be my two other choices. |

Whoever answers Toronto is crazy.
Toronto is a great city to visit, lots to do, etc.
But no, it's gotta be in BC. The mountains, fresh smells, vegatation!!!! |

It all depends on what you like. If you want the busy hectic lifestyle, Toronto or Montreal are probably the places. Calgary is a decent city, kind of a cross between busy and laid back. Quebec city is an awesome place, just for the old town. Vancouver is also good, since it is a little more laid back, the west coast life, and somewhat warmer than the rest of Canada. |

I notice nobody put Edmonton- why? We are considering a move there for work reasons (from Austin, TX). What does everyone think of Edmonton? Can anyone compare it to a place in the US? |

toronto, ontario because there are many great events like there is a place you can skate for free. you can go see niagara falls cross the border and much more
quebec because you can see the sculptures and this ice fortress and a hotel made of ice and bonnomn also you can it snow put syrup then eat it. yum! |

I'm torn between two places. I live in Calgary and have loved it here for many years. I love being so close to the mountains, the US border and basically being central. It's a vibrant city and there is still a lot of opportunity here, despite the recession.
I also have a mountain home out in Salmo, BC. That isn't a city but it's an awesome place to live, right in the mountains and along the river. |

vancouver, but i probley just think that because i've never lived anywhere else... |

Definitely BC! The mountains, crystal clear lakes, animals meandering down the streets (in small towns), much warmer than the rest of the country.
-Edmonton used to be a nice city, but the crime rate has gone thru the roof. People being shot everday there now. |
