Best places to stop..?

hey my boyfriend and i have our first vacation together all set up.. we are going to be going to the east coast for nearly ten days from July 12 (we leave eastern ontario) drive threw quebec (no stops there though).. and arrive in Nova Scotia for our friends wedding on the 14.. other than that we do not have to be anywhere. and do not need to return to ontario until the 21 or 22

Gosh there are so many great places to see. I agree with the previous person- see Hopewell Rocks. Actually that whole area is beautiful. I would even spend a night in Fundy National Park.
Also Peggy's Cove is a pretty popular tourist destination in Nova Scotia. Bring a sweater though! I got off the plane in Halifax in capris/t-shirt and was freezing with that on at Peggy's Cove. It will be more enjoyable if you teeth aren't chattering.
You could also do the Reversing Falls in Saint John, NB. Take a jet boat through there and prepare to get soaked but its a fun ride.
You can also go whale watching from either province.
Also if you have time I would take a trip over to PEI and spend the night (especially if you like "Anne of Green Gables")
I would say the best thing you could do is visit each province's tourist websites. Depending on what kind of activities you and your boyfriend like (ie hiking, sports, driving scenic drives, "touristy" places) you will find everything you want to do.

In Moncton hit Magnetic Hill, it is where your car will go up a hill while you are in neutral!
Go to Hopewell rocks on Fundy Bay for the lowest tide, and see something awesome!
Those are both in NB, on the way to Nova Scotia. If possible drive hwy 114, though fundy park and up towards hopewell cape and you get to see a great park (stop for a swim, venture in a little and see some waterfalls) and then drive the coast line instead, a much more beautiful drive then the main hwy 1.
Enjoy the drive!

Up the coast of New Brunswick.

I agree with pretty much everything that has been said so far, but you have to spend some time in Halifax...it's amazing and the Tall Ships will be there when you arrive in NS...totally cool...you should also try to get to Cape Breton, if you are into History, to check out the Cabot Trail and Fort Louisbourg.

you should stop in Moncton, NB and spend one day at Parlee beach in Shediac, eat some lobster too, you can then drive over to PEI, book a cottage for a couple fo nights, if you like golf, lots of cheap and v.good courses, also time depending, you should drive around the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, NS, to see nicest scenery in the world for ocean and hills together.

I would say do not miss the Cabot Trail, it is magnificent scenery? P.E.I. has beautiful beaches if the weather is good I didn't see a lot of entertainment if the weather is bad. Have fun
