With the people I know it would definitely be Bill Clinton. |

Amazing. "It doesn't matter what Canada thinks"?! I wonder if they know the Canadian dollar is now stronger than the U.S. dollar and has been for quite some time.
But then again, most Americans do not realize that the leader speaks for the people and influences the global perception of the country.
George Bush's foreign affairs really bite. I'm stuck with Clinton. |

I have absolutely zero use for either of them. George W is an arrogant war mongering idiot so he is out. That leaves the dummy who could not help but leave evidence on a blue dress. |

I don't know for sure, but I am assuming Clinton because liberals are more prevelant in Canada.
My step-dad is Canadian, and I know he hates Bush, so... |

We liked Bill Clinton more because he could pronunce "Nuclear" properly.
J/k..well Clinton was more welcomingly received because his policies were more in line with the majority of Canadians ideals.
It's not so much Bush's straight up policies though that bother the majority of Canadians, it's the fact that he's pretty much an idiot, plain and simple. He failed his way through an Ivy league education because of who is daddy is and then somehow was elected to be leader of a nation and is now hypocritically damning everyone for doing things he's done in the past. It's really the whole "blind leading the blind" scenario. |

Many Canadians would say neither, for different reasons. But since I am properly answering your question...
Outside of the U.S. NOBODY likes Bush. You might find the odd frat boy on the U of T campus who does, but that's about it.
Most of the world (and many Americans) cannot believe the actions and words coming from the current U.S. President.
Most of the world does NOT think Bush knows what he's doing, and/or do not support his "War on Terror" and fear campaigns. This includes Canada. We gave support primarily for rebuilding and peacekeeping efforts, and now we cannot wait to get our troops the hell out.
So that said, Clinton was preferable.
Personally, I liked Clinton. I thought he was smart, personable, calculating, and well..he provided some fun entertainment to watch during the Monica scandal...
Personally, I could care less if he got a BJ from an aide...at least he's not killing innocent people under the guise of a pseudo-war...Hitler already tried that once already... |

Clinton, we think Bush is an inbred hick like the rest of the world. |

Generally Clinton was more popular here. That being said, he was responsible for some pretty demented policies regarding softwood lumber in Canada. It's mostly resolved now, through our Conservative government and the US Republican government. So, I guess they're not *totally* evil. haha
For all the people who say who cares: wonder what would happen when we stop selling you our electricity and oil. How will you fuel your deep fryers? How many more trillions would the US be in debt if Canada pulled out of doing your dirty work in Afghanistan? (Oh look, a couple of them deleted their answers already. Oh well.)
Sorry to the nice Americans on here. I'm sure you can understand how ignorant those ones who posted are. |
