Mmmm, I live in Ontario and spend the winter in Mexico with many friends from BC.
Probably BC as Ontario people are more business orientated. However that is generalising and whenever you do that you ignore the vast majority of good people.
Good people are everywhere. Pls do not try to put them all in one place. |

never had the opportunity to visit Ontario so won't give an
opinion based on preferences, however, years ago was stationed
in Washington state in the military and literally fell in love with
the folks from British Columbia. |

Without a question, BC has much nicer folks. I'm living in Ontario now, moved here from BC a few years ago. I immensely dislike the people in Ontario - big city and small town alike. BC has a whole different atmosphere. Wish I could move back. |

I'd say BC. But then again, I'm not biased at all considering I live in BC!!! |

The Maritimes have the friendliest people. Because most of them are in Ontario or BC. |

Well, I have relatives who live in BC and they are nice people, and I live in Ontario, so I know for fact that Ontatians are wonderful people.
So from my knowledge, Ontario people are nicer.
But really have you ever met a nasty Canadian? Really, the cold and donuts make us happy. |

You really can't compare province vs. province. It depends on where you want to move really. If you want nicer people, I would suggest a smaller, rural setting vs. an urban one.
If you move to non-Toronto Ontario, whatever you do, don't say you're from Toronto. |

I've lived in "small town" Ontario my whole life, but went to school in BC for a year, a little while ago. It was funny because most of the people I met while I was in BC were actually from somewhere else in Canada (or the world)
I think you just meet more interesting people in BC more frequently because people are drawn to the West Coast from all over, and they just all seem happy to be there so they seem friendlier. |

many years ago, when i worked at "a large bank on the west coast" the question of who had the nicer tellers came up many times.
and the standard answer was, it didn't make any difference which bank.
what made the difference was, was it located in the city, or out in the country?
out in the country was better. |
