Well, I love Canada. I was born and raised here. I've lived in Ontario, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, and Quebec. I must say, though, the weather isn't ALWAYS cold and the people aren't ALWAYS warm.

To Wings Huaser: That's idiotic and ignorant.

I absolutely love Canada. I've traveled a lot, but I am always so happy to be back in Canada. I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and although Winnipeg definitely isn't the warmest province in the winter, it is home and I love it. Winnipeg seems to only make the news when it's cold in the winter, and that's a shame, because it really does have a lot to offer, and the people here are quite friendly as opposed to those in other provinces. America and Canada are not that much different - although Americans would argue with me about that. Canadians just seem to be nice people and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I like seeing different countries, but Canada is where I'll always be.

yes canada can be very cold u live in Northern alberta and it gets to -40 in the winter plus wind. lets put it this way we get more cold days away from school then we do snow days. there are allot of mean people here to but not so self centred as the people from the states are

.
still the BEST country in the world, I'd NEVER live anywhere else...and btw I hate the USA...

isotope2007
Yes and no, not all of Canada is really cold in the winter, some areas are much warmer than a lot of the USA in fact. Best country in the world, perhaps, I would be be happier if the Govt had more of a social conscience but its ok (typical laid back Cdn)

Canada is definitely not always cold, and since most Canadians live in the lower provinces, it's not too different from USA seasons. Warm-hot summers, cool-cold winters, rainy nippy springs, crispy cool autumns.

But one thing I think is true about Canadians (Canadians may disagree with me), is that Canadians are not easily fooled by propaganda machines.
It is VERY difficult to use propaganda or emotional appeal to sway a Canadian away from logical reasoning on issues.

If I were to make a movie where the first 10 minutes involved a nation's successful move towards national healthcare and then the next 30 minutes involved banning handguns, and then the next 20 minutes involved equalizing income distribution, and then the last 10 minutes involved excerpts from the Communist Manifesto, Canadian viewers, would stop applauding horray when the "banning hand guns part came up. " They'd say, "what is this film producer trying to do? What is his aim here???"

After the income equalization, they'd turn it off and say, "this is now going off course." By the end of the movie they would be very aware of the propaganda attempt.
