Not a problem. The complicated stuff is that you have to pay taxes in two different countries, whcih could get confusing.

You will get paid by your American employer, and will likely have to pay income taxes in the USA because that is where you earned the money.

You will pay municipal taxes in Canada as that is where your home is.

For the car registration, it is usually paid to the country where the car was bought. Since you need a permanent address for a driver's license and insurance, that is likely to be on the Canadian side.

Check with Immigration Canada about the legal ramifications of living here and working there. I think you can apply for permanent residence in Canada as long as you can prove that you have an income. It does not have to be Canadian income.

If you are living near a border and looking to live in Canada but work in the US, I don't see how that could be a problem. You may get questioned at the border but if you cross regularly they'll get to know you and it won't be a problem.

The border officers on both sides will want to know why you're not living where you work, but that's about it. Buy a house or rent an apartment, whatever you're going to do, and then travel. Get a passport of course if you don't have one asap. Not only will you soon need one anyway, but this makes it much easier to cross.

Yes you can, I'm American living in Canada. You'll file US/Can
taxes, license your vehicle in Canada & drivers license & insurance & get yourself a NEXUS card for border crossing. As far as the passport, I went to the US Embassy in Toronto & got my new issue US passport in 9 days flat for $96 one week ago.

You probably wouldnt be accepted in Canada if you want to continue working in the US.

You can immigrate as a skiller worker, IF you there is a position on the labour shortage list that no Cdn can fill, which would mean working IN Canada, you arent a student, I assume you arent being sponsored by a family member, you arent an entrepreneur , so its highly unlikely.

If you think its cheaper to live in Canada you are probably mistaken, housing is very expensive in most places.

US Embassy in Ottawa .. you can work there in Canada and live in USA eh so um you need to get a work permit from Canada Government then get a job in Canada or i don't know how if you can get dual citizen so you can work both country Canada or USA if you can get one or not www.canada.ca is the government website ...good luck
