I've mailed the camping tubes over before with no problems.
Unlike the little single serves, there's little alfoil to influence any X-Ray/etc

It might be done to Canada would not work to the USA. A friend in Sydney sent us two jars....they didn't make it past the inspectors....dark paste in sealed container in private mail....immediate paranoia.
You might want to get a commercial outfit to sell and send your gift. If they do regular overseas shipping they're probably known.
We finally got ours........Y'all know you can eat about anything if you put enough Ketchup on it. <Big Grin> |

You can, but there isn't necessarily any point to doing so. In Alberta, where I live, you can buy both Vegemite and Marmite. |

Yes, you can send it over here if you would like. Just a note though, you can find it over here in some stores or at least you used to be able to. Not sure if it is still available though so go ahead. I am sending Captain Crunch cereal to a friend over there.
Note to Mr. New-Be, have you ever tasted Vegemite? The trip could only improve it...lol. |

I think you can; I don't think is illegal here in the US either, just a hoax. You can contact http://www.britishdelights.com and order either Vegemite, Marmite or Bovril and have it shipped to your friend's front door.
Hope that helps. :) |

Funny you should ask this as only a few days ago I was in a Blockbuster Video Store and one of the Employees had just bought some Vegemite to work and a bunch of us were sniffing it, tasting it, reading the label and commenting on how odd it was that anyone would want to eat yeast and vegetable spread. My point being-it's available in the local Supermarkets here and so there really is little point to you shipping it, It probably would not be good once it gets here anyway. Save your money and buy something else. |

Yes you can, although they can also purchase it at specialist shops in Canada. My wife's ex-husband's sister's brother-in-law had some at a wedding over there a few years ago, I'm told. When I lived in New Jersey, there were some shops that had Vegemite stocked as well, although at that time, there was no Marmite in the shops. So it is available on the other side of the pond.
If you ship it, make sure you explain exactly what it is however. My ex-father-in-law, brought some Marmite over to me when I was in the states, as my ex and I loved Marmite... While I realise the two are not the same, they have similar consistency. When the customs men in the US opened his bag, they looked at the round bomb like jars, and asked him what it was. He told them it was a food product that was often used in the UK. One custom man opened a jar and took a spoonful for a taste. They kept him under observation for several hours before the British Embassy confirmed that it was really a food stuff.
Then again, when I was in the USAF, a friend of mine had been stationed in Australia for a while, giving support to the F111-D's you had out there. He told me that his first taste of Vegemite ruined all chances of him enjoying Marmite. He asked one morning at breakfast what Vegemite was. He was told that it was like Apple Butter, as it was spread on toast. So he spread the Vegemite on toast, just as he would Apple Butter, thick. It was only after the first bite of course that his colleagues mentioned that it should be spread thin. |

I tasted it once and it was &^%$(*&!!!. LOL
I have always wanted to know what was in that though. Terry has the right of it though. I would try a direct distributor to see if they can direct ship.
Bon appetite! |

Yes I believe you can mail it to Canada as lots of other people said it was OK to do. Some people have said they could buy it at Loblaws stores in Ontario. So wouldn't it be cheaper if you or your friend had family/relatives or friends in Ontario, and they buy it there and ship it to your friend. So as to save some money? |
