I live in Campbell River B.C. and I think this is the best place in the world. there is wildlife all around the mountains next door and the ocean 12.5 secs away.

B.C. is beautiful and has a lot of unique areas. The south-west coast and southern Vancouver Island are the most populated and is very green. People here are generally more rushed and its quite metropolitan. There's lots of rain and cloud cover on the West Coast, basically in every month except July and August. The Okanagan region in the next most populated. Here it is generally dry (almost desert like in fact), hot in the summer, but cold in the winter (many days below 0 celsius). The people in the Okanagan are somewhat hurried, but in general much more relaxed that near Vancouver or Victoria. The rest of BC is covered by coniferous forest and is sparsely populated with the exception of some cites (Prince George, Prince Rupert, and some Kooteney cities like Trail-Castlegar). Generally the Vancouver-Victoria area has the most night-life and entertainment facilities.

Victoria BC in particular is beautiful. It is surrounded by mountains which puts it in a "rain shadow". It gets abundant clouds and rain from November to February, but that makes it a beautifully green place with abundant flowers and trees (esp. fruit trees!)
From About February to April rainfall is average with lots of sunny days and incredible blossoms everywhere. At the end of Februaray when the apple and plum trees are blossoming, they have an annual "blossom count" wo brag to the rest of canada about it's mild climate. It routinely reaches into the billions- and being there it seems like it! Some streets are lined with apple and plum trees and the smell is wonderful! When the wind blows, it almost looks as if it is snowing from the blossoms coming down!
May to October is dry and sunny (despite what other people here are saying- the weather and climate is very different from Vancouver to Victoria even though they are close in proximity). Victoria actually gets more sunshine hours / year than our prairie cities in Alberta and Saskatchewan! The difference is it all hapens in the summer in BC when it is warm and dry. In the prairies the sun is mostly in the winter when it is freezing cold!

There are abundant parks (over 100 in the Captial Region) The Ocean is never more than 10 minutes away, and you can get almost anywhere in the city in 20 minutes.

If you have the opportunity to go and you enjoy nature, culture and beauty- go to Victoria!!

It's a beautiful place by the ocean, close to Vancouver, Canada. The place looks British. There are lots of Pinoys there, too.
