I think you're just being a wiseass for asking this question. You're trying the best you can with your little peabrain to think of ways to make fun of Canada because you keep getting reported for your questions (and answers) when you're more direct about your distain for our country. You know very well that the guy in the article just didn't go up to the house owner and give him a paperclip for the deed to the house. Why don't you just get a life and ask questions that aren't totally pointless that you already know the answer to?

where can I find this article? just curious. Canadian and American is starting to equal out. There is no longer a huge difference in the exchange rate. I guess the Americans keep handing out there money in the casinos.

Si - perhaps you should be wondering why you need to police the world? And where your foreign policy got so far off track that your government has allowed ordinary Americans to become targets just so corporations can continue to pollute the earth and reap giant profits?

Some amazing US foreign policy facts:

Ho Chi Minh's Communist gorillas were assisted and funded by OSS and other US agencies to help fight the Japanese in Indochina

The CIA was instrumental in providing weapons to aid the Mujahidin in Afghanistan in the 1980's to fight the soviets.

In the '80's fearing a collapse of Iraq, in the Iran-Iraq war the US put their support behind Saddam Hussein.

Given just these three examples of colossally short sighted foreign policy why is it that so many Americans fail to question the actions and motives of the current administration? Those that do question are shouted down and branded as unpatriotic?

It seems to me that your world policing is extremely selective and isn't working. Your "War on Terror" isn't suppressing terror it is fostering it.

EDIT: jzwigger my reply was to Si's post. As for being relevant, I'm sure you already know the answer to "can I buy a house in Canada for a paper clip?" AND... if you're going to slag Canada why aren't you prepared to hear criticism of the US? WIMP!

Seems that Si who answered earlier is a sister of this guy. She fails to mention that NYC needs such a large force, is that they have a large criminal element to contend with. I'm not sure if bragging that you have more crooks is indicative of a mentally stable person. Amazing what breeds ignorance
Edit: Rockin' you have some good points there about American foriegn policy being to blame where they feel the need to police. Hey, if they hadn't paid the crooks in the first place, there would be no need for any "world policing" now. And, yup, looks like you hit a nerve with both of them. :)

He began his trading up with a red, paperclip. He traded a movie script for the house in Saskatchewan. I think he's trading the house for a truck. The Canadian economy is doing well, but that house was in a little out of the way place. The cost of housing in Toronto and British Columbia is extremely high.

He bartered for a year starting with a Paper Clip. He actually bartered a KISS snowglobe for a movie role which was traded from Corbin Bernsen (an actor) who has about 6500 snowglobes in his collection. The movie role was for the house.
