Nobody in Vancouver is prepared for snow. Ever. And you know what, it snows almost every freaking year, at least for a short time. People trying to drive slide all over the place in their summer tires, then everyone tries to take transit and the transit system breaks down because of the overload. The whole city shuts down because of a little bit of snow. It's ridiculous.

Okay well snow in April is odd, but weather patterns are changing all over the world because of global warming. It's not necessarily warmer weather all the time, it's more erratic and storms are predicted to continue to get worse!

Hi from Vernon

Snowing here too! -4c right now & about 5" of snow. Doesn't look like it's going to quit anytime soon. Socked right in.

Good thing we didn't put the snow blower away yet lol
We're probably going to break a 100 year old record

Yeah, some 'global warming'!
I'm in Saskatoon, it's 4 a.m. Saturday and there's a fresh cover of snow here. It's supposed to snow more over the next few days, but hopefully we'll avoid the blizzard - which will happen mostly at the AB/SK border area.
Not surprised, though, we've had snowstorms in May and about five or six years ago, it snowed in August!

It isn't snowing on Vancouver Island but it's darn cold.

I have to say that it's probably all the bragging Vancouver did to those of us in Ontario when we were digging out yet again. They were always telling us about their flowers blooming. Just for the record, it was 24 in Ontario today!

I'm so happy (no offence) it's you lot for a change, I'm so sick of snow it's not even funny. (Montreal here)

Nothing surprises me anymore, with global warming I see little future. I soon will be out of a job and the world on a down hill slide.
