You have to be 18 to buy a lighter.

No I don't believe you can. I know places here in Alberta have signs saying they won't sell lighters or matches to kids under 18.

in ontario most places make you be over 19 to buy them. some places just dont care though.

Corner stores won't sell them without i.d. but I have seen them on the racks near the cashiers at Wal Mart.

A cousin of mine is in high school and she says that she charges the other kids $1.00 for a light. (She carries a lighter, but doesn't smoke!)

yes you can in some places. Most of them you have to be an adult (18) at least.

Yeah lighters are used for other things to, so i would assume that you could. Dont't matches work just as well though...
