Can you cross from Canada to USA?

Is it really true, what quite a few people have told me,- that you can pass the border from Canada to the USA, avoiding pass control??

Not legally. I grew up in a border town. Sometimes we accidentally crossed into Canada while out in the woods, but to legally cross, you must go to the border crossings.

No, it isn't true. It's an unguarded border, and in many places it's not marked by fences, but that doesn't mean it isn't monitored. It is. Try to cross at an unauthorized location and you'll find yourself in deep trouble.

No, that's only allowed on our southern border.

Seriously? I know there are a few towns in Vermont that are right on the border, and friends and neighbours cross back and forth very casually, it's almost literally one side of the street to the other. But those people aren't doing it with the intent to make themselves illegal immigrants, either way.

No.

in certain places you could easily do so. But if you go on a road, (which legally you must) you have to go through customs.

Crazeddoglady
Not legally.

to answer your topic question. - the answer is yes, you can cross from Canada to the USA.
There are some areas that have easy access(across the street, through woods..etc.)
However avoiding the pass control would be illegal and you would get punished if caught. I wouldn't recommend getting involved in any illegal actions. people may not have gotten caught but m sure you wouldn't want to.
If you are intending to cross the border illegally then i would think before doin that action

Is not legal, but you can cross the border at Point Robert, WA; and another towns that are on the border, spent some hours and then go back to Canada.

Z
Of course not. Why would you think that?

Wow C
why would you want to? our governments, values, accents, and people are basically the same. what's different?
