I'm from Toronto Ontario so I can speak for that. Firstly its not any colder here than it is in the Northern states, we don't live in igloos. Buffalo gets more snow then we do! We do not say aboot! We don't eat a lot of maple syrup! We speak French and English not Canadian! We rock!!

Bryan Adams sucks!! But theres Billy Talent, Jim Carrey, Micheal J Fox, Matthew Perry (friends), Celine Dion, Sum 41, Avril Lavigne, Ryan gosling, Rachel McAdams, Paul Haggis, Pamela Anderson, Kim Catrall, Micheal Buble, Sweeny Todd, Nelly Furtado, Ryan Reynolds, Wayne Gtrezky, Gordie Howe, Wendel Clark, Neve Cambell, Eugene Levy, Alan Thicke, Dan Akroyd, David Suzuki, Tom Green ,Sandra Oh, Alanis Morisette, Barenaked Ladies, John Candy, Howie Mandel, Mike Myers, Rush, Steppenwolf, Nickleback, The Arcade Fire, JD Fortune(lead singer of INXS) and so so many more!

The estimated population is 32,847,143.

I'm not sure how many famous landmarks there are. We have a lot of beautiful sceneary! But theres also CN Tower, Canada Olympic Park, West Edmonton Mall, Vancouver Aquarium, Montréal Olympic Stadium, Skylon Tower, Pier 21, H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.

We f***in rock!!

Here is the Canada website. If you look at the menu bar on the left under "topics" you can get "daily life in Canada" and "Provinces in Canada". These expand more into the topics you want like special events, festivals, landmarks, etc.

Hello,

(ANS) OK!! Canada is a VERY large place, it covers a huge area of the land mass North of the USA, upto Hudsons Bay & the North Pole, Borders with Alaska. It has a lot of very wild and unspoilt landscape left untouched by man i.e. true wilderness.

When I think of canada I think of mile afte mile of forrests & lakes, canada is covered largely by tree's & water. They can have VERY sever winters because of its geographic position.

Canada has its own native people (native indians), in years gone by fur trapping was common, as was fishing, whale hunting, etc.

Canada was I think part of the French empire many years ago & this has left its mark on the country. French is still a dominant language.

Canada still has a strong hunting fishing shooting culture but without the full horrors that we often see in the USA. Canadians DONT have the same gun toting mentiality as in the US, they have a better more relaxed atitude.

**Lots of people seem to accuse Canada & Canadians of being well abit boring really because the are more relaxed & have a more liberal view on life than in constrast to the USA.

**If you want a REALLY GOOD look at Canada as a place I really strongly suggest that you download a free copy of Google Earth which is a Fantastic peice of software. If you have broadband & your computer has a reasonably good quality graphics card. You can look at the whole of canada and even fly over it, look at its big cities. Its a wonderful program, you can download it from the google.com website, just tap in google earth and I'm sure you'll find it.

Best Regards Ivan
