Are you a US citizen? If so, you can live in Canada for six months at a time on a visitor's visa. It is more complicated to become a permanent resident or if you want to work as others have told you. Check out the Canadian citizenship and immigration site they gave you. It will give you the answers you need. |

Sorry other than checking the gov't website I don't know. And by the way most Canadians do not share the attitude shown by "butterfly kisses", many of us enjoy the diversity that immigrants bring to our country. Welcome. |

Take a look at this site: it's a Government of Canada site that is about living/working or immigrating to Canada. |

My guess would be you'd need a visitor's VISA or a VISA to live here or something of the sort....You should check the Government of Canada website.
Back again....found this. It's the website for Canada's Immigration and Customs. Along the left hand side there's a menu with all the information you need for VISAs and Immigration. ^_^ |

You don't provide enough information to give you a definitive answer, but I'll try to help you. What you sound like you are asking for is for Permanent Resident Status. Go to the source link below for more information....
I'll tell you my story also...I am a United States citizen who met a beautiful, intelligent, and kind Canadian woman from Ontario. I was able to obtain a work visa rather easily and lived there for four years until a year ago when I lost the love of my life! Perhaps it was her that made it so great, but I find myself not only missing her but also Ontario! When I came back to Colorado I felt as strange being back as much as I came to call Ontario home. Canadians are some of the nicest people you could have the fortune to be around! |

No, unless you make arrangements to obtain legal status there will be a maximum period of time you are allowed to stay. That maximum depends on a number of factors and you may be required to prove you have the funds to support yourself during the time you are here because you will not be able to work unless you make the proper legal arrangements and do something like obtain permanent resident status.. |

No.
I'm Canadian and I will tell you something.
Canada is full. We are not allowing others into our country.
We have enough people without jobs, without homes and we do not feel the need to give what could go to our people to an immigrant.
Stay in your own country. |
