We do not have free health care. We have universal health care. There is a big difference.
We have higher taxes then the States and some provinces have monthly insurance premiums that are paid towards health care. Our taxes go towards the health system.
Nothing comes free.
It is not cheaper to live. There are jobs in places like Calgary but the cost of living is very high right now. It's no colder here then say, Minnesota. In fact, from what I can tell from a friend of mine down there -it's a lot colder in MN and even Colorado then it usually is in southern Alberta. |

Canada is a good place to live. It's very similar to life in the US, but yes we have free healthcare. It's very cold in the winter, very hot in the summer- much like the northern US. Certain places are less expensive to live than others- and certain places have more jobs than others. |

it is winter, of course it is cold here right now. I don't know if it is cheaper to live here, the cost of living is higher, my sister-in-law reminds me of that when she has to work again after mat leave. $5/h minimum wage I think she said compared to last time I checked it was about $9 minimum wage here. Canada is a clean place for the most part. My in-laws live in Minn and say that coming here is very much like being at home in that they are very comfortable when they visit, it is a little warmer most of the year here in Southern Ontario compared to Minneapolis. Last time we went there for Christmas, we didn't see any snow until we landed is St Paul, it had yet to snow here at all.
Different parts of the country have different rates of employment, right now around Calgary a friend living out there says that he can walk down the street and get a job anywhere, but it depends on the job field too. I know they are still looking for a lot of general labour, construction and such, but I am not sure of other fields. |

Health care in canada is not free, we have taxes to pay for itand insurence. There is also a huge shortage of docters. A lot of my friends don't have one. In a lot of Canadian places it is clean. In Ontario, it is freezing from about November or December until March or even April sometimes. Depending on where you live it can be fairly cheap. Certain jobs are available such as, docters, nurses, and where I live, people to work at the nuclear plant . |

Yes is the answer to your most of the questions.
There are not a lot of proper jobs here espacially for people coming from out side. Ya, odd jobs are available any time. For proper job according to your qualification, you must have Canadian references and Canadian qualification.

Clean? Depends where you live in Canada compared to where you live in the US. I think they cost of living is about the same, however there are more taxes in Canada and property taxes are a lot more expensive (again depending on where you live)
There are a normal amount of jobs, one province Alberta is on the rise coming up with a ton of jobs, my family has started to move there and they are getting paid more then they would if they lived back in Ontario. It is cold! I live in Minnesota so it is cold here too, about the same.
And the health insurance is amazing, I have lived in the USA and Canada. After paying thousands of dollars in the US I prefer the Canadian healthcare system. In the USA not many employers have health insurance coverage, it can be difficult to find that, in Canada you don't have to worry about that. ONly drawback in Ontario I know for a fact they have a shortage of family doctors, many people on still waiting to have a family doctor, instead they have to go to a walk-in clinic to get referalls but its not too bad. Also sometimes there are long waits in the emergency rooms (Toronto area) but I think this is due to the amount of people who live there, they also take in the emergencies 1st, so if your emergency isn't as severe you might be waiting a while. |

Canada is a great place yes it is very clean compared to other country's. Our Health care is not free cause we don't have any(we do but it sucks)It is somewhat cheap to live hear as long as it is alberta. And in calgary (where i live) there is tons of jobs it's crazy. It gets really cold LAst week it was -50c here in calgary for 3-4 days. But you get use to it. Good Luck |

no haeven on earth, each place has pro and cons.. yes freezing in winter... clean nice people.. multiculture, free medical care....but you wait for ever to have a medical care, a Dr Apt, a test.. highest taxes in the world... you can't enter and live here just because you feel like.. there are steps, and laws |
