When I was going to school, we learned that in elementary. We were taught that the major land masses were considered continents, and the continents were as follows:
- North America
- Central America
- South America
- Europe
- Asia
- Australia
- Africa
- Antartica
The three countries that were part of the North American continent (the way I learned it) were Canada, USA, and Mexico.
Since my time in school was almost thirty years ago, they have since made changes to what they classify as "North America" to include several other countries in the area, including Greenland, Cuba, and several other small island countries.
Hope this helps you, but you really should look at a world globe in the country where you are. If you don't know what continent Canada is on, you are either really young or probably don't really have an idea of the way the whole world looks, and should get a three dimensional perspective. |
