Depends on what you're looking for Steve. I mean, in Canada you can have pretty much all the city living you want if you live along or near the US/Canadian border. Best of both worlds. As for letting your girlfriend decide, you might want to rethink that too.
I'm an American. I love America. But if I was going to move somewhere I knew I could raise a kid/family without much fear of gangs, gang violance, gun deaths, high crime rates, corrupt government and insanely high taxes where you make minimum wage and can't afford to keep the house you bought then hey....Canada's your place. Just remember: you can always catch a plane to anywhere in the States.

Well i live 7 years of my life in United States i lived in Chicago , Atlanta and Los Angeles but i definitely would live in Canada , Ontario its kind of better people are nicer and everything is better you know what imma sayin and the view is beutiful and its all good people in U.S are racist and **** black with blacks latins with latisn asians with asians whites with whites so u know how it is a lot of gang members out on streets etc so i would pick Canada

I am born, bred, and living in the US. Don't move here, unless you want to live in little Mexico, have horrid schools, and corrupt politicians!

Look on the bright side.
unites states?

How about Maine.Low crime small population and you can hop over the border and visit the citys in Canada. There are alot of nice places to live without having to worry about gangs, just dont live in a major city.Plus you dont have to deal with the horrable Canadian health care system. It might be free but good luck getting a decent doctor or emergency surgery.
And to whoever said the people in the USA are racists your'e just ignorant.Every contry has racists no matter were you go.The majority in the US are not but of course the are some.
