Canada vs United States of America..?

I am a born and raised Canadian. I love Canada (despite the stereo types it is given). I live in a small town but I have always wanted to take a trip down to America into the south. I love country music and southern, down to earth people.
Is it worth the trip down there or is it just like every other place in America. (want to move to southern America badly!)

Is America better then Canada..?
Give me your honest opinion.

If you like guns and tobacco you'll love the south. Stick to Canada. I love America. I used to live there but truly. Nothing can beat the feeling of being Canadian

I don't want to get into the whole US versus Canada thing. Americans will troll around saying Canada sucks, blah blah blah, and the Canadians will counter back with their statements, so I'll just say its a draw and both countries are awesome in their own different ways.

With that out of the way, areas in the south are different from the north. If you are interested in going, then I'd say go for it!

I'm sure the South is very nice as long as you're white.

Your question is loaded, and devisive. You have two questions. Southern US is gorgeous, just as is western Canada. You really can't compare the two. One is not better than the other, yet totally unique. If you love country music and gorgeous country, your best bet is probably the US. It will probably be less expensive trip going south rather than west. Gas and motels are less expensive. Is America better than Canada in which way?

The United States and Canada are both good and bad in different ways. You will never know if you really love the south unless you go and see for yourself. I have family there and have been several times and it wasn't for me, however it may be completely different for you. I would recommend that you take a trip down for the experience, it can't hurt.

I used to live in Surrey BC and I took my family on a trip to Tennessee in 1996 and we had a great time.

As far which country is better, in many ways Canada is the best place in the world to live. I do live in LA now but I am here only because I was offered my dream job. And for highly skilled Canadians, specially engineers like me, it is easy to get a US visa. But when I turn 65 in 8 years I will likely move back to Canada.

The US is a pretty decent place to live but Canada is just a little bit better. Still it is sort of like comparing a Rolls Royce with a Bentley. Both are really good.

Best thing for you to do is spend a few months down there and talk to the locals, read their news, history and politics. Before you go, make sure you purchase travel health insurance. If something happens while you are there and you have no insurance, you won't be treated unless you pay thousands of dollars in advance.

PrinceGster
Going for a vacation is really nice down south. But if you want to go live there for good, I wouldn't recommend it but it's up to you.

the US is a dirty, overcrowded violent place, the people are rude, hateful, unfriendly, paranoid religious fantatics and they carry guns...Canada is clean with educated open minded friendly people..I've been to the US many times and they don't like foreigners of any kind including Canadians
