dont taze me bro
Our land is larger and far less populated first of all.
We are a parliamentary democracy.
Are conservative is their liberal(thankfully)
We are more open minded
We seem to be more easy going, and more polite
We have a better health care system
We have more natural resources than they do, and with a small population, we will not strain them.
Less racism and religion(thankfully)
Obesity is far less
We are still a bit more European, but for how long?

Free Health Care, Supporting Gay Marriage (I am straight, but I love how we're so diverse), our school system-we don't segragate races, and we don't have children going to schools that teach them how to be in the army and fire/use weapons, our crime rate is a bit higher but the crimes are not as severe on a regular bases as in america (dont argue with me im a correctional officer), ETC

I love being Canadian.

we live in a larger, less populated country, and we also have OHIP

you know how America has no taxes but Canada does it is better for Canada to have taxes because taxes cover hospital bills and it pays sometimes for schools and it adds more buildings and free things around Canada it is really great and also America but i think Canada is better. ^_^

I can never understand why Canadians always say "Free health care". I have lived in Alberta all of my life and have always had to pay Alberta Health Care. I know they also have to pay it in BC.

I don't think Canada or the US is better. We're the same. Just regular folks trying to make a living and a life. We just live in different parts of the continent.
I have had some of the best times of my life with people down in the US and made some very incredible friends.
We may view things a little differently, but it doesn't make either of us right or wrong. Just opinions.
For that matter, Eastern Canada doesn't think the same way as the West does so we have our own differences as well.

first, to claify, healthcare IS NOT FREE...nothing is free in this world, we pay for healthcare thru income taxes as opposed to paying a premium to a private insurance co, our system is universal in that every resident has access.....but it's just our intelligence and our acceptance of people, our manners and consideration, I see Canada as a compassionate, caring country while the US is a war nation and hateful place

Canada is the best because we are happier people, not so far up our own butts like the Yankees.

both have ups and downs.

US. lower taxes no free health care.

Canada: higher taxes, free health care (sort of)

but both are beautiful places. The only thing that makes the US look bad is the government. I am a US citizen and I hate our government, but man is this place beautiful. No country is perfect.

Okay so it's not "free" health care in Canada but it's universal. It's not perfect but it's based on a concept of equality.

The U.S. was built on the "individual" and I think that's still the main difference. Americans are proud of their self-sufficiency and Canadians are more apt to look out for their fellow man. I realize these are stereotypes and there are many individuals that don't fit it, but generally Americans are less community oriented and will retreat to "every man for himself" much sooner than Canadians.

Obama was elected on a somewhat "Canadian" platform so it will be interesting to see what change will really occur. Almost half of the U.S. didn't support his ideals in the last election, so we'll see.....

If I where an idiot I'd say i live in Canada therefor naturaly it has to be better. But im not going too. But why is it better...We're nicer, richer, cooler, less obese, more likable and violant...We also have a less violant and much safer
