Accurate answer...You must have a passport to fly between Canada and the U.S. To travel by land you need a birth certificate and photo I.D. OR passport. As of June 1, 2009, you must have a passport for all means of travel between the two. See site below to read the law for yourself. |

To fly into the U.S., you need a passport. If you are driving, you can get away with photo I.D. and a birth certificate for now. Not sure, but I think this will end on Dec. 31. |
