yes yes and YES.. it is such a pain in the @ss... i hate having to put on all those clothes just to do an errand.. hate it all..

only good thing is to see you girls wearing boots lol..

hehe
I am a good sport, so I will actually answer your question. Yes people with seasoned climates (and cooolld winters) do need alot of clothes. If you only use your closets for clothes, i sugest using a dresser(s), too. That is waht I do. Also, layer for the cold months, and you can always have extra jackets on hand. Also, get rid of clothes that don't fit by donating them to the Salvation Army or donating to a charity.

But yeah, it is a major pain sometimes, just try to manage everything.

Indeed it is.
In Toronto it isnt too bad, but as the seasons change, so do the boxes.
Each time there is a change in weather, we whip out a box from the attic.
Mostly everything that you're not using can be placed in the attic.
Nevertheless, be prepared for anything due to the erratic weather.

It's no more difficult for Canadians to change clothing according to season than it is for residents of the states of New York, North Dakota, Idaho, Washington etc.
And in fact, it's rather fun to change clothing with the seasons. Makes every season special.

It's not rally hard, your basic cloths can go all year round the only thing you need to change is your jackets and sweaters, snow pants, all the outer wear the rest can stay the same because unless your outside a lot everythings heated in the winter so you don't have to worry about it and Summer just leave he jackets behind :)

No way!!! I love shopping so much, and I love that I can wear an entirely different wardrobe every season! I have a walk-in closet full of clothes, plus a wardrobe, plus a closet in our spare bedroom.

Honestly, the biggest difference for the different seasons is outerwear and whether you wear pants or shorts. If you are a modest person, you would probably not need any more clothing than anywhere else, except for an array of coats (a heavy one for winter, light one for spring and fall, and a waterproof one for the rainy days). Plus, we need to have the stuff to bundle up in the winter (scarf, toque, mittens). Plus, unless you like winter sports out here, you are usually not outside for more than 5 minutes at a time.

Oh, btw...with the hockey comment, you do realize that a lot of the players on the American teams are either Canadian or Russian, right?

KRC
Nope. My wardrobe consists of a T-shirt and jeans all year round. ;)

Though for winter, when I go outside, I wear a winter jacket. In the spring and fall seasons, I wear a regular jacket (outdoors). Summer, no jacket unless it's raining.

That's not only Canada, it is the greater part of the U. S. too. The northern states across the board, the midwest, New England, and a lot more. Only Florida, Southern CA, parts of the south and southwest don't need too many winter and spring/fall clothes.

canadian fashion = lol

spiral
Yes. I pretty much have a summer wardrobe and a winter wardrobe. When spring rolls around, I'll pack up most of my winter clothes and store them in the back of my closet until fall.

Are you poor? If so, pack them away for next year. If you can afford to replace them all, next winter, take them to the Sally Ann (Salvation Army).
Frankly I do not see where your problem is!

Teggy
lol we dont have so many clothes!! what are u talking about...we have a normal amount of clothes..well for us anyways..were used to it? i never noticed us having lots of clothes. No its not a pain

From Michigan here...I know exactly what you mean. The amount of storage space needed for the multiple climate clothing is unreal. Once you get it all packed up neatly, you get sprung on with a very hot day in October or a freezing cold day in April.
