Canadians (people who visited Canada might be able to answer too...), need your opinion?

Okay, later in life, I've been planning to move to Canada. Not sure yet what providence and all, but I'll decide on that later... I plan to move a couple of years from now...

But, anyways, what I would like to know is would you guys say Canada is a good place to live? Do you enjoy living there? How is the scenery? Are the people respectful and polite towards others most of the time? Just give me your opinions on Canada, Thanks to all of you! ^^

I live in Canada and its the only place i've ever known.
so yeah, I think it is a good place to live and I enjoy it. definately very special because there is no other place in the world like this. the scenery is nice, but its such a big country that its surprising to see how different it is from one side to the other. generally people are very tolerant of each other (or at least where i live) and they are nice. but obviously there are mean people too.
alors ouai.. c pas mal le fun

I have lived in Canada my whole life and I really like living here. I live in Ontario. The scenery here is good and there are respectful and polite people here. But, of course you'll find some mean people here too, but generally the people are nice, well where I live anyways.

I enjoy it a great deal, and I've got a wild story about that. I last lived in Canada when I was five, but actually remember everything. I moved to the United States with my parents because of their political opinions-please don't ask. While in Canada I learned about ldeas like the proper role of government and my responsibility to my fellow man, ideas which I have not been exposed to in the United States. I would say for this reason alone Canada is wonderful, and I look forward to moving back.

Canada as an excellent country to live in. It's beautiful - the scenery varies from coast to coast but is truly spectacular at times. People are respectful and polite most of the time - that's a Canadian characteristic. But where you decide to settle is going to depend upon you and your interests. If you like outdoor living and an active lifestyle, you'll love the West Coast - either Vancouver or Vancouver Island. Vancouver offers more job opportunities, but if you are self employed, Vancouver Island is a great place to live.
Alberta is cattle country (Calgary is referred to as the Canadian Texas and in fact, the Calgary accent has vestiges of a Texan twang. In the early oil exploration days in Alberta, Texans played a large role in discovering, tapping and bringing into production the numerous oil wells in Alberta. Many of the Texans stayed, and they have left a major imprint on the community.
Saskatchewan is grain country - wheat, rape, corn - the flat open prairies of Saskatchewan make it an essential part of the Canadian breadbasket.
Manitoba is a mixture - there is a strong french influence in parts of Manitoba. It has a burgeoning industrial base and most people in Manitoba have a summer place at 'the lakes' (there are over 10,000 lakes in Manitoba, so there are lots to go around)
Quebec, of course, is French and charmingly so. The language is french, the laws are french, and it's a very cosmopolitan scene.
Ontario is all about business. Toronto, Canada's largest city, is in Ontario. Ottawa, Canada's capital city, is in Ontario.
Getting over into the maritime provinces - Labrador and Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia - is a trip back in time. They have a pronounced Scottish influence and you can easily pick out a Maritimers brogue. Times are tough in the Maritimes right now - the fishing industry has bottomed out and there isn't much in the line of industry, but they are a tough and resiliant people and have wonderful character.
The Northern provinces are largely undeveloped - lots of empty space and lots of room to become independent.
Put them all together and you have Canada - it's truly a varied country, but a great one.

I have been born and raised here and have been almost everywhere in Canada. It is a great place to live. I am partial to Newfoundland myself. It is unlike the rest of Canada. But really all places are good to live.

Quebec! Good skiing, cold winters, hot summers. Montreal great metropolitan city but the laurentians are just half an hour away, so you are always close to beautiful scenery, lakes, excellent trails. If you are more into english, you could try Morin-Heights in the Laurentians or the Eastern Townships.

Canada is fantastic! No offence, but I would much rather live here than in the States, for many, many reasons. Yes, people are friendly.

British Columbia is the only place that has all of the environmental settings:
Desert; Rainforest; Ocean; Mountains... not to mention rivers, valleys, marshes, islands...

(By the way, it's "province" not "providence".

I've lived in Canada my entire life but have had lots of experience with other countries especially since I have close family that doesn't live here anymore. They'll tell you that Canada is the best place to live. I love living here and the people are great most of the time, especially if you go to a small town! I'd say one province to avoid if you're looking for the friendliest is Quebec, most of the french people aren't all that nice if you can't speak their language because they want to preserve their culture. It's not true of the whole province but it is for a lot of it.

Also I'd say the most scenic places are along the water for the most part..so probably the Maritimes, British Columbia, or along the great lakes in Ontario. I've been lucky enough to visit almost all of Canada and I have to say one of the places I found the prettiest is probably somewhere on Georgian Bay which is part of lake Huron in Ontario

Just make sure you're okay with snow! It's going to pretty cold and if you plan on driving it's like you'll have to learn all over again because you'll be driving on snow and ice.
