Canadians please answer!!!?

Well i am canadian too. well a quarter canadian anyway. I was wondering just a few things. I am coming to visit family in the quebec area.

1. Do a lot of canadians know english?

2. Are they friendly with people from other countries? (I heard that some people don't really like people from other countries. Will it make a difference to those that i am part canadian?)

3.What is your favorite thing about canada?

1. Almost all. In the province of Quebec, it is true for the Island of Montreal and along the Ontario and US borders. Not so true in other areas of Quebec including the provincial capital Quebec City.

2. Your Canadian heritage doesn't make a difference. Canadians love people who travel from abroad to visit us.

3. Quebec women. Hubba hubba!

1) The majority of Canadians are English. Considered as the first language, depending on where you are. In Québec though, the first language is french, but a lot of people in Québec are bilingual in English and French. Depends on where you are, for example, Montréal is pretty bilingual, but Québec city is not. I doubt you will have any severe problems communicating.
2) I can't believe that that is our reputation! Everyone here is very accepting. This should not be one of your worries AT ALL.
3) I love Canada because it is a 'mosaiic' meaning that in Canada, no matter what culture, language you speak or country you come from, you arn't ostracized for being different. And you have the right to be different, and everyone here realizes that and together despite our differences, we live together. ( Ex: The english and French, complete different cultures, and live together in peace, each keeping their identity separate)
I also love Canada because it could be concidered a 'Melting Pot', meaning that all cultures are not assimilated into one, but they all become one. I hope you know what I mean?
CANADA , REPRESENT ;D

Well, the Quebec City area has thousands of tourists going through every year. They are quite used to it so don't worry, you'll have a good time.

TwiztidElegance
Well my family is Quebec, and they speak both French and English, it really matters which part you are in, in Quebec the first language is French.

Yes Canadians are friendly to other people, Canadians and Americans are pretty much the same, just different languages and etc...

My favorite thing about Canada is that its colllllldddd! and I seen a moose there :D

Mathew
1. mostly everybody know english unless they imigrated in canada but if u go to Quebec its all french

2. most canadians dont like the american people but i have no problem with them

3. is that is a peaceful country very very peaceful

lil_soy_03
i'm not from canada but i live 6 miles from the border but a lot of canadians speak english and i'm going to guess they will probably be generally friendly most people are... but i guess i like going up to buffalo point and buffalo bay in that area
