To those calling US shoppers traitors - why is it that it's wrong to shop because Americans are the "richest" in the world, yet Canadians are supposed to brag about how their strong dollar makes them wealthier than Americans? Making the elitism argument smacks of hypocrisy. Not to mention how often Torontonians make fun of working class Buffalo for being economically deprived.
Another outlet mall that's relatively close is the Waterloo Premium Outlets (not to be confused with Waterloo, ON) off Exit 42 on I-90, between Rochester and Syracuse. I think it's smaller than Niagara and Grove City though:

I'm not sure becuase it depends on what part of Ontario you are from. Check the cities that are closest to you and do a search for shopping. |

The Factory Outlet Mall in Niagara Falls NY on Military Road. A short drive from the Rainbow Bridge. It's a huge mall. |

Fashion Outlets is the best and it just about 10 mins past the border. From Lewiston bridge USA, interstate 190, get off exit 22- left off ramp and continue until you get to Military rd, and make a left onto Military rd, outlets will be on your left hand side. |

I've been across the border in the last two days - the Fashion Outlets at 1800 Military is quite good. If you don't have a credit card then carry US$ otherwise you will get less when u use CAN$. Walden Galleria is expensive - but Macy's is the only reason why I went. The next trip will be to Pennsylvania Grove City - I heard that it's tax free and very great deals to be had.
I'm also tired about lining the fat purses of those so called canadian companies who charge me CAN$178 for a Doc Martens shoes - which I bought last year - only to find it for US$74 at Walden. My heavily taxed dollars go where I decide - any one who calls me "traitor" does not work or is probably less than 15 years old. |
